As 2018 draws to a close we’ve taken the time to reflect on what has undoubtedly been our best year yet! From new recruits to new premises and pancake flipping to award winning, we’ve had an incredible year…
Seven people have joined the Wagada team this year! We continue to grow our team and are proud to be able to broaden our expertise and knowledge as we do so. From hiring a Commercial Director, PR Manager and Social Media Exec to name a few, we’ve not only been able to offer a more diverse range of services but have thoroughly enjoyed having more people and personalities in the office.
Hiring new staff meant we needed more space to house us all! We enjoyed our time at STANTA but are loving our new premises, the extra space and the character it brings to the office. We were even able to host a ‘Wagada welcome party’ just before Christmas, to welcome clients, neighbours, friends and family to our new place. If you haven’t already, do pop over in the new year – we’d love to show you around!
We’ve enjoyed another year of full-on festivities! We became chocolatiers in March, celebrated national afternoon tea week in August, carved up a storm in October, not forgetting our ongoing table tennis tournaments (congratulations to Sammy and Judith’s son, Thomas, for being the only ones to ever beat Dee!). We can’t mention office life without mentioning Monty – he’s still everyone’s favourite employee and continues to be a very good boy. We look forward to more fun in 2019 and can’t wait to see what our (self-appointed!) social secretary, Katy, has in store for us in the new year.
The Wagada team have enjoyed staying up-to-date with the latest industry insights at numerous conferences around the country, including Brighton SEO and Ungagged. A highlight for Dan and Dee was definitely getting to meet SEO whizz, Rand Fishkin – what stars will they get to meet next year?!
The community has continued to play a bit part in the company. Whether it was flipping pancakes in St Albans town centre, holding a Bake Off competition in aid of Alzheimer’s UK, sponsoring the Best Business Woman Awards, continuing to support Their Future Today or donating our reverse advent calendar to the local food-bank, 2018 has seen our passion for the community grow.

Not only have our clients seen huge successes this year, we are incredibly proud to have been recognised for our own achievements too. We were humbled to have won the St Albans Chamber of Commerce Business Growth Award, as well as a prestigious UK Search Award. These two awards were the icing on top of the cake for us – what a year it has been!
To staff, clients, suppliers, friends and family, we would like to say thank you to everyone for your continued support throughout 2018, and we wish you a very happy new year and all the best for 2019.
