2004

Wagada’s CEO, Cheryl Luzet, is working in marketing in the travel industry, frustrated by how hard it is to get high quality service from her external web agency. The idea for Wagada is born…

2011

One master’s degree and 2 children later, Cheryl fulfils her dream of setting up an ‘agency that cares’. She chooses the name Wagada to reflect how differently we would work, compared to the plethora of lacklustre agencies in the industry. She wanted Wagada to reflect expertise, proactivity and passion. At this point we’re purely an SEO and content marketing agency…

2013

Business is growing rapidly and we employ our first team members and take on an office.

2015

The world of digital marketing is changing and the team is growing. SEO no longer exists in a silo and Wagada takes on specialist experts in social media and Google PPC.

2017

We’re joined by MD Nick Silverstone, who brings with him vast experience in sales, marketing and software.

2018

We win our first Search Award for one of our client’s campaigns – recognition by industry experts of our talented team and innovative campaign ideas.

This is also the year we move into Wagada Towers, otherwise known as New Barnes Mill, our much-loved office in a semi-rural location in St Albans.

2020

We open our second office in sunny Cheltenham, headed up by our talented Head of Client Services, Daniel Jenkins.

2021

Search award winners 2021

In November 2021, we were delighted to be Search Award winners again with our campaign for Entertainment Effects. We were also finalists in two other categories including the UK’s Best Small SEO Agency.

2022

We’re growing our team and excited what post-pandemic life looks like. Looking forward to getting the team back together and arranging some team socials!
