Wagada is delighted to be sponsoring the Best New Business Award as part of this year’s Best Business Women Awards, which launched just over a week ago.

Cheryl Luzet, Managing Director, Wagada said:

“We’re really excited to be sponsoring the 2018 Best Business Women Awards. They offer a fantastic opportunity for women to promote their businesses and to benefit from both the networking and peer recognition that these Awards represent.”

Businesses set up by women contributed £3.5bn to the UK economy and created 77,000 jobs in 2015 (source: Natwest Bank). As a result, Hertfordshire-based multi award-winning small business owner, Debbie Gilbert, started The Best Business Women Awards in 2015 to reward and recognise the achievements of successful business women across a number of different industry sectors.

“Many women are juggling a business with family commitments and this is a fantastic way of rewarding them. Winning or being shortlisted as a finalist provides an excellent PR opportunity and the opportunity to grow their businesses further,” said Debbie Gilbert, founder of the Awards.

The official launch was held on 23rd March 2018 at The Aubrey Park Hotel in Redbourn near Hemel Hempstead, where 100 people attended.

There are 18 categories, including Best New Business, Best Young Entrepreneur, Best Business and Most Inspiring Business Woman. Some categories are industry specific including Health & Wellness, Legal Services, Recruitment and Best Coach.

Winners will be announced at a black tie gala final in October.

Debbie concluded: “So far, we have recognised over 200 women and entries have tripled since it started, female businesses are the backbone of today’s society and this only looks set to grow.”
